Tyre Compunds

I was talking to my friend a couple of weeks ago after our wet ride. He has been into bikes for ages and used to race them. I told him that I felt unstable in the corners on the cruiser in the wet, felt like the rear type was slipping.

He said the compund of a cruiser type tyre is made for durability, it is not designed to give any real superior gripping ability in wet, slippery conditions.

Just thought Id share his insights with you guys.
